SINADOL TABLETS

Each tablet contains:
- Paracetamol 500 mg
- Alcohol: Increases the risk of liver toxicity.
- Rifampicin, Carbamazepine, Phenytoin, Barbiturates: May increase the hepatic toxicity of paracetamol by accelerating its metabolism.
- Warfarin and oral anticoagulants: Chronic use may increase the risk of bleeding.
- Chloramphenicol: May prolong its half-life when used together.
- FDA Classification: Category B (no proven risk to the fetus when used correctly).
- May cause: nausea, vomiting, sweating, pallor, abdominal pain, followed by liver damage (which may progress to acute liver failure).
- Toxic dose: usually >10 g in adults or >150 mg/kg in children.

Treatment:
- Immediate transfer to hospital.
- Administration of the antidote (N-acetylcysteine) as soon as possible.
- Supportive care with monitoring of liver function.
